Managing accounts and transactions can be quite tedious, but with the right application, you can make this task much easier. While using Accounted, you will be able to keep track of multiple accounts, for incomes, expenses, credit cards and others. Furthermore, the software allows you to define transactions to and from any accounts, create bills and mark them as payed and more.

You don't have to go through a lengthy installation process before running the application. Its files can be extracted directly from a ZIP archive, which does not take long to download. When you run the executable for the first time, a wizard will help you make a series of initial configurations.

The user interface has a simple design, making it easy to manage your finances. Created accounts are listed on the left side of the interface and you can view your transactions on the right side. Accounts, contacts, bills and other elements are created on separate windows, after clicking the appropriate options, on the program's toolbar.

All entries are created by filling in a series of input fields and selecting certain details in drop menus. When defining a new transaction, you must select the source and destination accounts, specify the payee's name, the amount of money, the currency and exchange rate. The best part is that you can select existing accounts and contacts, so creating a new transaction should not take long.

You can also select existing accounts and contacts when creating payable bills or receivable payments. Furthermore, the software allows you to create bills or payments and mark them as paid or received separately. For example, if you create a bill, you will find it in your default expense account. Bills can be marked as payed on a different window, on which you can select a source account and choose from various payments methods, like cash, check, PayPal and many others. When a bill is payed, the transaction will be moved to the corresponding account automatically and its balance will be adjusted accordingly.

Accounted allows you to insert a wide range of information about your company, including a tax ID number, currency exchange rates, checks and more. Additionally, you may generate all sorts of reports, export and print them.
